Texas Parks & Wildlife requires fishing licenses for resident and non resident anglers. You do not need a fishing License if you:
are under 17 years of age (see exemption red fish tag below)
were born BEFORE Sept 1st, 1930
Exemption Red Fish Tag (pg. 24): If you are under 17 years of age and wish to catch and retain a bull red you must buy an "Exempt Angler Red Fish Tag" for 3 dollars. If you do not purchase this tag you may catch the beast however you must catch then release it.
Senior citizens (65 and over) born after Sept 1st 1930 are required to purchase a fishing license also (pg. 23).
Please read all of the rules and licensing requirements in addition to the exceptions in the "Texas Parks and Wildlife Outdoor Annual Hunting and Fishing Regulation Book 2008-2009"
I have provided you with the state link for easy access.
Captain Jaime recommends that you bring some basic outdoor supplies and food to protect yourselves from the elements that are sometimes brutal e.g.
sunscreen (rub only - please no spray)
seasonal apparel (layered accordingly)
food and beverage's (I provide the water & ice)
mosquito spray (seasonal)
medicines
What you can unload on the boat but not bring on the boat.
Captain Jaime suggest unloading your cooler content into his cooler to maximize the fishing space. Captain Jaime's coolers are strategically placed to prevent tripping providing safety during our adventure.
